About the position We are seeking a controller for the operations support unit at the Institution for Art and Technology. The institution will have approximately 90 employees and just over 900 full-time students. You will be part of an administrative unit with around 9 employees working with financial, educational, and HR administration, led by an administrative director. The unit serves as a shared resource for the entire institution with the purpose of providing administrative support to management as well as researchers, teachers, doctoral students, and students. As a controller, you will support operations management in planning, management, and monitoring matters. You will work with financial decision-making documents and analyses based on the needs of the organization. You will lead the finance team and economic operations and be responsible for coordinating work with budgets, financial statements, forecasts, and monitoring of operations. You will be responsible for further developing common procedures and working methods regarding financial matters. Together with the institution's project controller, you will form the finance function and provide support to the institution's departments and research subjects. You will be part of a network with other controllers at the university. Qualifications The position requires an economics degree at university level, preferably with a focus on management accounting/accounting. You should have several years of experience with qualified financial work within the operations area. The work requires good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You should be outgoing, have excellent collaboration skills, and a strong sense of service. You are results-oriented, analytical, have a structured way of working, and find it easy to build good relationships with people around you. Furthermore, you should be able to work independently, be proactive in change work, and take great responsibility for your tasks. You should be responsive to management's and the organization's needs for support and requirements. Scope and location The employment is a permanent full-time position as a controller based in Luleå. A probationary period may be applied. The position will be filled by mutual agreement.
