About the Assignment Jefferson Wells is now seeking a Controller for a consulting assignment at Malå Municipality. The assignment is full-time with a start in September 2026 and runs initially for six months. In the role, you are responsible for financial follow-up, forecasting work and analysis, and you contribute with qualified decision-making documents to the operations' managers and leadership. You also work with accounting and financial statements, which provides a broad and varied role with extensive contacts throughout the organization. Your Tasks As a Controller, you will, among other things: Work with budget follow-up and financial forecasts. Analyze financial results and identify deviations and areas for development. Prepare decision-making documents, key figures and financial analyses. Provide support and advice to operations and managers on financial matters. Work with ongoing accounting. Participate in monthly and annual financial statement closings. Contribute to the development and streamlining of financial processes and routines. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who has an academic degree in economics and several years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably in a controller role. You have a good understanding of budget work, financial management, follow-up and analysis. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Academic education in economics or equivalent. Experience with budget, forecast, financial follow-up and analysis. Good knowledge of accounting and financial statement work. Experience working in Visma Publitech. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience from municipal operations and knowledge of SKR's price list model. As a person, you are analytical, structured and self-driven. You have the ability to translate financial information into clear recommendations and decision-making documents. You build good relationships, communicate in a pedagogical manner and enjoy collaborating with different parts of the organization.
