The Role The controller team works closely with the Children and Education Administration, but the assignment also has a clear connection to the municipality's central financial and management work. Together you will create a whole where operations, finances, and management meet, and where analyses and decision-making support contribute to both operational development and long-term financial sustainability. The two controller roles have different organizational placement and partly different emphasis: Controller in the Children and Education Administration's staff Here the emphasis is on operational management and operational development. You work closely with administration leadership and managers with analyses, statistics, and investigations, and contribute to developing management, follow-up, efficiency, and goal achievement. Controller at the Finance Unit Here the support to the Children and Education Administration is combined with a municipal-wide perspective. The emphasis is on budget, forecast, follow-up, financial analyses, and strategic financial matters. The assignment also includes contributing to the development of the municipality's shared planning and follow-up processes, working methods, and decision support. The controller who has already started with us is flexible regarding the final division of responsibilities. Therefore, we are not looking for a predetermined profile. Instead, we are looking for you who together with your new colleague can create a strong team where your experiences, competencies, and strengths complement each other. So you could have your primary strength in financial management, operational management, or a combination of both. What's important is that you have a strong analytical approach, understand the connection between operations and finances, and enjoy working together with others to achieve results. Together you will, among other things: drive and develop work with planning, budget, forecast, and follow-up prepare analyses, investigations, and qualified decision-making support support managers, administration leadership, and committees on operational and financial matters translate financial information and operational data into analyses that support decisions and development contribute to the development of processes, working methods, and routines ensure quality and completeness in follow-up, analyses, and forecasts present and explain complex information clearly and pedagogically. The working method is based on close collaboration. You share knowledge, challenge each other's analyses, and help each other when operational needs require it. At the same time, you have your own areas of responsibility and mandate to independently drive matters forward.
