Your New Workplace
We are seeking a controller for the Municipal Executive Office's Finance and Operations Management department who wants to help shape the future processes for investment planning within Sundsvall Municipality. The department's goal is to maintain efficient and secure processes while providing professional support in finance and operations management to the municipality's elected officials, administrations, and companies. With us, you will be offered a varied and developmental role in an engaged and professional team led by the Finance Director.
How You Will Contribute in Your Role as Investment Controller
As a controller focused on investments, you will have primary responsibility for developing and driving the investment planning process within Sundsvall Municipality. The assignment includes developing processes, methods, and procedures to create efficient and well-functioning investment planning.
In this role, you will work with planning and monitoring of the municipality's investments based on operational needs and conditions. A large portion of the municipality's investments are made in real estate. You will coordinate property matters in collaboration with the municipality's property owners and administrations, and lead development and improvement work together with colleagues within the department and property strategists in the administrations.
The role also includes:
developing the municipality's processes, methods, and principles for financial management
providing decision-making materials and reports to managers
conducting municipality-wide investigations and financial analyses
Your Competence and Experience
We are seeking someone with post-secondary education that the employer considers relevant for the position, combined with several years of experience as a controller and experience working with investments and investment planning. The position requires excellent ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish, good digital skills, and experience working with financial systems.
We consider it advantageous to have:
experience with strategic work
experience working with change management and project management
experience in the property and facilities area with the ability to connect financial and operational contexts
To succeed in this role, you need to be able to combine a strategic perspective with a structured approach. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and the long-term consequences of different decisions while planning, organizing, and moving your work forward efficiently.
You are comfortable working with complex issues and find it easy to analyze information, identify patterns, and translate your analyses into materials that contribute to well-founded decisions. As a person, you are goal- and results-oriented and are driven by creating value and achieving results. You also have good judgment and make well-balanced prioritizations based on operational needs and conditions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability!

Salary: Monthly salary/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.
Terms: Salary compensation beyond the monthly wage follows applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the website of Swedish Municipalities and Regions, www.skr.se
