The municipal management office consists of three functions: HR function, support and development function, and finance and operations management function. As a controller, you belong to the planning and governance unit, which is organized within the finance function. In the unit, we work closely with the municipality's leadership on overall financial management. The planning and governance unit consists of an engaged team of controllers with different areas of responsibility, who together with the finance manager contribute to the development of the municipality's financial management and analytical capacity.

DUTIES
The role is central in ensuring efficient, sustainable, and well-balanced management of the municipal group's finances and financial risks.
As a controller with a finance focus, you contribute to creating stable financial conditions for the municipality's operations and investments. Through analysis, monitoring, and strategic work, you help strengthen the municipal group's financial position and enable delivery of high-quality welfare both today and in the long term.
The role includes working with:
• analysis, strategy, and monitoring of the municipal group's loan debt, capital commitment, and interest rate risk.
• management and monitoring of liquidity, bank relations, and group account structure.
• monitoring, risk assessment, and development of investment strategies.
• management of the municipal group's electricity trading portfolio. Analysis of consumption data to support budgets, forecasts, and energy efficiency.
• ongoing environmental monitoring, financial analysis, and qualified reporting to management and the board.
• support in property and company transactions
• support to the municipality's companies, foundations, and partners in financial matters.
• you may also contribute to and lead investigations and analyses and support the organization in relevant issues where needs arise.
Sustainability is an integrated part of the finance function. You actively work with:
• sustainable investments
• sustainability-linked financing
• contributing to the group's climate and environmental work from a financial perspective
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
• academic education in economics or equivalent
• experience with qualified financial work
• good understanding of financial markets, risk, and analysis
• experience with and interest in developing work methods and processes
Merits for the position:
• experience with debt management, derivatives, or capital markets
• experience with electricity trading or energy markets
• experience working in a larger organization or group structure
