We are now seeking a Controller for our accounting department, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. You will have a central role focusing on the company's property projects and investments and will be part of an experienced and dedicated team of six people responsible for the company's accounting, reporting, and financial follow-up. Areas of Responsibility As a Controller, you will work with follow-up, budget, and forecast processes and are responsible for preparing reports to management and the board. You have special responsibility for the financial follow-up of the company's property projects within renovation, maintenance, and new construction in close collaboration with administration, operations, and property development. The work involves developing and quality-assuring investment calculations, monitoring costs and forecasts, and ensuring correct handling in the income statement and balance sheet, including capitalization in the fixed asset register and assessment of investment versus maintenance. In dialogue with managers and project leaders, you function as a financial partner and contribute with analysis and structure on matters relating to investments and ongoing operations. You also participate in internal reporting, key ratio analyses, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing. The assignment includes supporting managers and staff members in financial matters and assisting the Finance Manager and other colleagues in the accounting department with investigations and tasks that may arise within the department's scope. You also have shared system responsibility for the company's follow-up and analysis system and parts of the property management system. Requirement Profile We seek someone with higher education in accounting or another relevant post-secondary education. The most important thing, however, is your background and your ability to independently work with financial follow-up of property projects. You have experience in controlling at real estate companies and have worked with residential properties. The role requires work with project or property controlling with connection to investments. You are experienced working with investment calculations, project follow-up, and capitalization in the fixed asset register and have good understanding of how investments affect the income statement and balance sheet. You have a solid foundation in real estate accounting, accounting, and VAT matters and work efficiently in Excel with good system knowledge. Experience in developing processes and routines is a merit. As a person, you are collaboration-oriented and thrive in a role with many contact points.
