The Economics Department is part of the Regional Management's support units, which provide support to leadership and operations on economic and governance matters. We develop and manage economic processes and create conditions for leadership throughout the region to manage their operations. Now you have the opportunity to become a key person in this work - the Economics Department is seeking an engaged and analytical controller with a work location in Umeå. You will join the controller support unit HSF (health and medical care administration) where you actively participate in developing controllers' working methods and processes. The work location is Skellefteå with proximity to both operations and collegial support. Part of the work time can also be performed remotely. 1 position(s). DUTIES In your role as controller, you provide important support that makes it possible to provide health and medical care in Västerbotten, while contributing to strengthening and improving the region's finances. You are part of the Economics Department's controller support unit HSF and together with colleagues take joint responsibility for continuous improvement and development work. In your role as controller, you contribute an economic perspective by providing management support to operations and managers within health and medical care. You are a central collaboration partner for operations in both strategic and operational matters to ensure and develop economic governance. The work includes analysis, monitoring, development of key metrics and operational statistics. You are also responsible for driving and ensuring quality in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in business economics or other relevant university or college education with a focus on economics. You should have strong knowledge and experience in economic management, accounting, and monitoring and analysis in finance. We see that you are self-driven, analytical, service-oriented, and a social person with the ability to create an overview of complex work involving economics in connection with production and personnel use. Experience in public operations is a merit. To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are innovative, analytical, and want to drive development work. You are a driving force and support for operations and other support functions in their work. The ability to communicate both in writing and verbally and pedagogically convey information and messages is an important part of the role that we value highly. You need to be driven, have good initiative and the ability to create contacts and cooperation with the operations we support. You have very strong knowledge of MS Office programs and experience working with decision support systems.
