Your Responsibilities: • Analyze extensive and complex datasets of financial transactions to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and potential risks of financial crime using Python and SQL. • Implement and improve processes and policies within the monitoring team in accordance with regulations (particularly, but not exclusively, in the areas of anti-money laundering/financing of terrorism and fraud prevention). • Analyze monitoring results to optimize the ratio of false positives/true positives. • Monitor and analyze regulatory requirements and support the team in implementing relevant internal rules, standards, processes, and policies. Your Profile: • You have previous experience in data analysis in the financial market and experience working with large datasets and complex data structures in a regulated environment. • You have a university degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or comparable qualification and are familiar with data analysis and statistical methods. • Relevant experience as a data analyst in the financial sector, preferably in transaction monitoring, financial crime, AML/CTF, or fraud analytics. Knowledge of forex trading will be an advantage. • You have deep knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in German and EU regulations (KWG, GWG, AMLR, etc.) and a solid understanding of transaction monitoring concepts and financial crime risks. • You have very strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of data analysis, SQL, and Python. Databricks is an advantage. • Your profile is complemented by general technical knowledge of software architecture and networks. • Strong written, conceptual, and methodological skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams. • You enjoy working in a team and matrix organization in a multicultural, multi-location, and international environment with a high level of initiative, flexibility, engagement, and motivation. • Knowledge of written and spoken English; knowledge of German will be an advantage.
