Are you an enabler who enjoys creating conditions for others to grow? Do you want varied and meaningful extra work where you can really make a difference? Then you might be one of our new temporary staff members at Gruvgatan.
About the Role
As a coach with us, your main task is to work together with your colleagues to create meaningful activities for our participants. Based on the assignment, you support our participants so they have the chance to develop according to their abilities. You work in an individually adapted and responsive manner, primarily focusing on the individual's needs. You also have administrative work tasks such as documentation and some planning. Furthermore, you contribute to good quality in the activities, partly supported by Nytida's pedagogical framework. The position is an hourly employment on weekdays during daytime with the possibility of a permanent employment.
About Gruvgatan
Gruvgatan's daily activities are aimed at people with diagnoses within the autism spectrum, with or without intellectual disabilities.
We offer individually adapted and developing daily activities where participants' needs, goals and interests guide the way. We offer activities individually or in groups as well as opportunities for internships. We currently have just over 30 participants.
Physical Environment
The activities are located on two floors, which allows for some division when needed. We have a number of smaller rooms for individual activities, as well as some larger spaces for movement, music or other group activities. We have a smaller kitchen on the ground floor and a larger one on the upper floor for cooking, baking and shared lunch. In spring and summer, we can also use our patio and garden.
Gruvgatan's daily activities is located in the Högsbo district in Gothenburg next to Änggårdsbergen. Public transport to Gothenburg Central takes about 25 minutes and the frequency is good. The nearest bus stop is 300 meters from the facility.
Your Experience and Knowledge
We would like to see that you have upper secondary education in care and welfare, but above all that you have experience working within LSS (Swedish Disability Services Act). It is meriting to have previous experience from day activities, knowledge of various forms of cognitive support and low-affective approach. Furthermore, you speak and write fluent Swedish and have good computer skills.
You are clear, pedagogical and driven by making people grow and develop. As a person, you are responsive to participants' needs, find it easy to collaborate and can work in a situation-adapted manner.
Within Nytida, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is permeated by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity and knowledge.
