Smidmek is a modern company in continuous development, with its strength rooted in extensive experience and expertise in the metal industry. Since the mid-1980s, they have worked with tool steel. They also perform contract machining on multi-operation machines, turning, and assembly, with a focus on aluminum castings. In recent years, they have expanded their machine fleet with a number of multi-operation machines in various sizes. Largest machining area is 1700x3200mm. About the job: We are looking for a CNC Setter/Operator for our production and are seeking someone with knowledge in the trade. We are looking for you who are responsible and have strong knowledge of CNC-controlled lathes. The work requires that you independently can perform machine operation, setup, programming, have knowledge of cutting techniques, perform quality inspections, and work independently. You have excellent knowledge of blueprint reading and measurement techniques. Experience in operating and making adjustments on CNC-controlled machines. It is advantageous if you have programmed and set up Okuma lathes. Previous experience running both small and large series.
