Russian Circle Instructor

Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm conducts open course activities in languages. We continuously work to develop our course offerings and would like to hear from you if you have experience with language instruction and can work with adult education in circle format, a few hours per week - primarily in the evenings. For the spring, we are seeking a Russian circle instructor. Primarily for in-person classroom courses in the evenings, but distance instruction may also occur. Job Responsibilities Teaching, preparation, planning, and follow-up work. Participate in development work as agreed. Quality work by considering participant expectations before the course and conducting evaluations after the course concludes. Participant contact between lessons related to course content, such as preparations or homework assignments. Qualifications Circle instructors at Folkuniversitetet must have at the time of employment: Strong IT skills and experience with distance instruction Pedagogical understanding or pedagogical experience. Expertise in the subject/work experience in the subject Experience with and active interest in adult pedagogy Your language proficiency in the teaching language must be equivalent to that of a native speaker, and we would prefer if you have relevant academic qualifications. Desirable personal qualities include the willingness and ability to work independently as well as in a group, good interpersonal skills, strong initiative, a positive attitude toward change and development, and an ethical approach.
