We are seeking a business-driven and strategic Chief Operations & Finance Officer (COFO) who wants to take full responsibility for our operational activities and financial management. This is a key role for someone motivated by creating results through people, structure, and continuous improvement. The role is newly established and created to further strengthen the company's ability to combine operational excellence with business management and continued growth.
As COFO, you will become a central member of the management team and play a decisive role in translating the company's strategy into concrete business development. You will lead and develop several of the organization's most important functions and ensure that the organization has the right conditions for continued growth, profitability, and delivery capacity.
About the RoleIn this role, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing the company's operational activities and financial management. You serve as the link between the company's long-term goals and daily operations by ensuring that the organization, resources, processes, and financial monitoring support the business in the best possible way.
You have overall responsibility for creating structure, clarity, and collaboration between the organization's various functions, as well as for developing the organization's ability to achieve its goals.
You are also responsible for budgets, forecasts, and monitoring of business performance and profitability. You are responsible for investment calculations and for preparing financial decision-making materials for the management team and board.
You lead through the organization via four direct reports with indirect responsibility for approximately 30 employees within production, logistics, and engineering. You also have direct personnel responsibility for the company's accounting function and ensure professional financial management with a focus on analysis, monitoring, and decision support.
As COFO, you will be a central member of the management team, where the other members are the CEO and Sales Director.
Who Are You?We are looking for someone who combines a strong business focus with a genuine interest in leadership and business development. You have the ability to switch between strategic questions and operational execution, while being a present leader who creates engagement, clarity, and accountability. You are experienced in leading through other managers and in building independent, high-performing teams.
You have solid experience from industrial operations and good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and business monitoring. You likely have an academic degree in economics, engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent. Good system proficiency with ERP and business systems is also essential, as are good skills in Swedish and English.
It is a plus if you have knowledge of Lean, OEE, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies. Experience with digitalization and data analysis is also seen as an advantage.
To succeed in this role, we see that you are business-driven and results-oriented with a high ability to translate strategies into concrete results. You have good analytical skills and an easy way of seeing the big picture. As a leader, you have an easy way of inspiring others, communicating, and building good relationships. The assignment also requires that you are accustomed to working with good planning and structure.
