VO Detention Facility Helsingborg currently consists of the high-security detention facility Helsingborg and the open detention facility Berga. The detention facility has various units including a high-security unit, a youth unit, and a women's unit. Detention Facility Berga accepts inmates without security restrictions. As a manager, you will lead, develop, and monitor operations toward established goals and provide support to your employees in their daily work. Your responsibilities include personnel, budget, and workplace environment management for employees working primarily as Correctional Officers and in other client-facing positions. You will be part of the management group where the detention facility director and your colleagues form an important platform for your leadership. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is good at collaboration, humble, and has the ability to create engagement and participation. You communicate clearly and are committed to creating a dialogue-oriented environment. In your leadership role, you have the ability to motivate others and create the conditions necessary to effectively reach common goals. We are looking for someone who has: • Academic education or other education combined with work experience • Experience in personnel management • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing • Category B driver's license It is also meritorious to have: • Management experience (personnel, workplace environment, and budget responsibility) • The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's management development program or other management development program • Experience working within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service • Experience from multiple operational areas within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service • Relevant experience from other public sector operations • Experience in government authority work, preferably within the criminal justice system • Language skills beyond Swedish and English Please include in your application why you are interested in this position.
