The Development Department is responsible for developing and implementing the group's strategies in new construction, maintenance and renovation, environmental and housing social matters, as well as the group's strategy for development areas. Since 2020, Framtiden Group has worked purposefully to ensure that Gothenburg has no vulnerable areas. This year we have also been tasked by the owner to coordinate how other companies and administrations in the city can contribute to and support this work. About the role To succeed in this role, you need to be able to create consensus around complex strategic issues, translate long-term goals into concrete action, and build strong partnerships within and outside the group. The role includes ensuring that the group's strategies are relevant, consistent, and aligned with each other. You are responsible for identifying, coordinating, and managing goal conflicts between strategies. In the coming years, implementation of our strategies is a priority. You lead a department consisting of just under ten specialists in property development, research and development, ecological sustainability development, site development, environmental coordination, housing development, and social sustainability. You are part of the parent company's management team and provide strategic support to group management, and you are responsible for annually coordinating the group's strategic agenda. This includes developing materials and proposals regarding strategic direction, priorities, and further development of strategies. You will also collaborate with other departments and companies in the City of Gothenburg and be able to develop good cooperation with external stakeholders in Gothenburg and nationally. About the organization You are based at the parent company and lead the development department. The role involves broad contact points within the group and close collaboration with group management and the management of the subsidiaries. Has several years of experience in qualified management positions with operational, budget, and personnel responsibility, as well as experience working closely with business leaders, boards, and other decision-makers. Has an understanding of politically governed organizations and experience working at the interface between politics, management, and the public service organization. Has good knowledge of and experience from several of the following areas: research and development, property development, site development, urban development, and ecological and social sustainability. Has experience leading independent specialists, employees, and teams, as well as the ability to create engagement, clarity, and results through others. Has experience representing an organization in strategic external contexts and building trustful relationships and cooperation with public, private, and nonprofit actors at local, regional, and national levels. Has excellent ability to communicate in Swedish verbally and in writing, and is experienced in presenting, facilitating seminars, and representing the organization in various contexts. Who are you? You are an inspiring leader who has the ability, through good communication and trust, to bring enthusiasm and energy that encourages good performance and increased motivation. You support and create conditions for your employees. With your strategic and analytical skills, you create an overview and a comprehensive understanding of complex contexts and structures.
