Nyköping Municipality, Division Urban Development, Land Management Unit Urban Development operates both strategically and operationally within the areas of urban planning, land management, nature conservation, development, environment and health, building permits and geodata/GIS as well as public transportation, always with overall community development in focus. The assignments come from the Environment and Urban Development Committee and the Municipal Executive Board. In total, we are just over 100 employees in Urban Development. The Land Management Unit's overall mission is to manage, develop and enhance the municipality's land holdings. The unit currently consists of ten employees working as ecologists, land managers, project managers, land engineer with real estate law expertise and coordinators. Our mission always focuses on the municipality's residents and business owners. We continuously develop our working methods and routines to best meet existing needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The role of land manager is varied and developmental. You work both strategically and operatively within your area of responsibility and together with your team you contribute to Nyköping's development. The Land Management Unit receives its assignments from both the Municipal Executive Board and the Environment and Urban Development Committee. The assignment is broad and includes, among other things, the following areas: • The municipality's nature conservation expertise throughout the entire urban development process from planning stage to management and in matter of consultation • Management and development of nature reserves as well as management of forest, water, arable land and other land from an ecological, economic, social, technical and legal perspective • A large number of land leases, including among others leasing agreements • Real estate law matters with agreements and regulations • Strategic land supply issues based on the municipality's needs through sales and acquisition of properties • Support and service to residents, associations and businesses As a land manager you have personnel and budget responsibility and you lead and develop your employees to meet the unit's objectives. You have great commitment to the operation and work with enthusiasm for a good working climate in your unit. You have personnel, financial and operational responsibility within your area and report to the Urban Development Manager and are part of the Urban Development management team together with other unit managers and management functions. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has • relevant university or college education or other work experience relevant to the position • several years of work experience relevant to the area of responsibility • management or leadership experience You are positive, engaged, communicative, solution-oriented. You are driven by leadership issues and creating engagement among your employees. As a leader you have the ability to create conditions for everyone to feel that they develop, are challenged and appreciated. You take initiative for development and have an easy time collaborating with others. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and you becoming a good leader for the unit and a well-functioning part of Urban Development's management. You speak and write Swedish well. It is meritorious if you have experience from politically controlled organizations. Salary form: Monthly salary. Form of employment: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start: By agreement.
