The Military Intelligence and Security Service (MUST) has an important role in this work. The military security service's primary task is to prevent, detect, and counter security threats against the Swedish Armed Forces and its interests, thereby helping to protect the Swedish Armed Forces' capabilities. We are now seeking a section chief for the management and coordination section at the department for cryptography and IT security. As section chief, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop operations within a broad and important area and contribute to the development of the signal protection service in Sweden and internationally. Main Responsibilities We offer a management role where you lead a group of experienced employees with diverse expertise within the section's areas of responsibility. As section chief, you drive and develop the section within the task of coordinating signal protection in total defense, as well as internationally in the EU and NATO. The work includes good opportunities to further develop both your own operations and signal protection activities in total defense. In this role, you will represent the signal protection service in meetings and collaboration within the Swedish Armed Forces and with other authorities in total defense. You will thereby have an important role in creating coordination, collaboration, and development within the operational area. About the Unit The Management and Coordination Section at the department for cryptography and IT security works with the leadership and coordination of the signal protection service for total defense. The section is responsible for, among other things, developing total defense's governing regulations, coordination and collaboration within total defense, and international agreements regarding signal protection in international collaborations. The section also works with handling compromising emanations, electronic certificates, and smart cards. The tasks span a broad operational area within signal protection. Who Are You? Qualifications Academic education, or alternatively experience that the employer considers equivalent Relevant experience in management or leadership positions Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Meritorious Experience within signal protection Experience of work in the Swedish Armed Forces or another state authority Experience in the design of regulations, agreements, or instructions Experience with security regulations and security analyses Experience working with regulations and policy for electronic certificates or compromising emanations (Tempest) The qualifications stated above must be able to be verified upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.
