A new Correctional Services House is being built in Västerås, where a detention center with 200 places is planned to open in fall 2028. You will join an organization that values professionalism, responsibility, and good collaboration. As a leader, you help your employees in various ways to equip our clients to live a life without crime and drugs – what we call "Better Out." The foundation of your role as a first-line manager is to lead, develop, and monitor operations and provide support to your employees in daily work. The role includes personnel, budget, and work environment responsibilities. Initially, the position will focus on personnel planning for the detention center's opening. Beyond these aspects, you are also expected to actively contribute to the development of the Västerås detention center's future operations. In your role, you continuously work with activities linked to the operation's annual cycle, which includes systematic work environment management, operational and employee development, salary reviews, and development of working methods and procedures. To support you, in addition to competent employees, you have access to support functions in HR, payroll, staffing coordination, and more. You report directly to the Correctional Services Manager and are part of the management group. You are expected to jointly take shared responsibility for your own unit and, if needed, your colleagues' units. The management group is an important platform for your leadership.
