The position of Chief of Healthcare Administration Staff in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is newly established following organizational changes. The role and its areas of responsibility are under development, but the intention is for you to provide strategic support to the Healthcare Director on matters concerning governance, development and management of the administrative area. You lead the healthcare administration staff, which includes the pharmaceutical unit, the clinical training center unit, and the management support unit. Roles that are functionally led may be linked to the Healthcare Director or the healthcare administration staff. Planning, follow-up and governance are prepared in the staff and addressed in healthcare management. You work together with the rest of the healthcare management to provide our 132,000 residents with healthcare, dental care and medical services. RESPONSIBILITIES The healthcare administration staff is responsible, on behalf of the Healthcare Director, for the strategic coordination of knowledge management, quality and patient safety. The healthcare administration staff develops and manages structures for functional management of certain shared functions at the overarching operational and strategic level. The role involves planning, analyzing and producing qualified decision-making materials to support strategic choices for the Healthcare Director, as well as ensuring that political decisions and strategic directions are translated into concrete development and sustainable results in operations. The role involves extensive collaboration with operations managers, division heads, regional management, political leadership and national actors. The Chief of Staff and staff members within the healthcare administration staff can represent the region's healthcare in regional and national contexts and should contribute to developing and driving the transition to future healthcare. You report directly to the Healthcare Director and are part of the healthcare management together with the Division Chief of Surgery, Division Chief of Medicine, Division Chief of Primary Care, and staff members. QUALIFICATIONS You have academic education, preferably within healthcare, and knowledge of all applicable legislation within healthcare operations. Previous experience as a manager in clinical operations, preferably with different conditions, and experience leading managers. Experience working at management level in a politically governed organization is a merit. Experience working with local and national perspectives within healthcare on matters concerning staffing planning, competency supply and production and capacity management is also considered a merit. Understanding and knowledge of healthcare and its functionalities and complexity at system level is important for the role. Knowledge and practical experience of working in collaboration with relevant authorities is also a merit.
