We are seeking an officer to serve as chief of the Operations Section at the Logistics Unit.
About the Unit
The Logistics Unit Revingehed leads planning, execution and follow-up of logistics and support operations for combat units, schools, staffs and other organizational units within the Swedish Armed Forces. We ensure that the combat and training organization has access to water, food, fuel, ammunition, vehicles and materiel to conduct operations in peace, crisis and war.
The Logistics Unit includes, among other things, Staff, Technical Department, Supply Department and Mobilization Department. The Logistics Unit is also responsible for national support to our units in Latvia (NSE).
The Operations Section in the staff plans, leads and follows up on tasks and processes that the logistics unit is to execute. The staff is led by the chief of staff and is divided into an operations section and a planning section. The operations section works closely with the planning section and cooperates in various areas to ensure that the unit's departments complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As chief of the Operations Section, you are responsible for and lead the operational activities of your section. You are meticulous, structured and work well with other colleagues. We are looking for someone who wants to develop as a leader and manager, who is passionate about improvement work and developing your staff and operations. Regardless of background, it is important that you are thorough and unpretentious, which also means you are a good team player. You are flexible and can handle temporary peaks in workload without becoming stressed, and have good decision-making ability. You are conscientious without being afraid to set expectations, follow up and take action when needed.
You ensure that the section functions efficiently and delivers high-quality work as requested. You are responsible for planning, execution and follow-up of operations and ensure that necessary prioritizations are made. You participate in the staff's management group and cooperate with the planning section chief, coordinating operations with subordinate departments and peer units in the garrison. You work on staffing and competency development of your section's personnel.

Qualifications
Officer – Specialist Officer (OR7-8) or Tactical Officer (OF1-2)
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
Driving license category B
Good computer skills
Experience working at management level or experience working in a management team

Meriting Factors
Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics systems
Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' accounting system LIFT/PRIO
Logistics training in supply and technical services
Previous experience as a staff officer in logistics
Previous experience as a staff officer in an international staff
Completed military service abroad

Southern Scania Regiment (P 7) is located approximately 20 kilometers east of Lund. The regiment's primary mission is to produce and maintain combat units for the Army. Additionally, we have the mission of establishing and staffing LNLV (Battalion for NATO's multinational brigade in Latvia) – an annual recurring task with approximately 550 professional officers, soldiers and civilians. The unit conducts basic training for 300-500 conscripts annually in ground combat and our primary weapons systems and vehicles consist of Stridsväxn 122, Combat Vehicle 90 and Armored All-Terrain Vehicle 360. P 7 has both continuous and part-time personnel.
