We are now looking for a communicative and engaged manager for our trainee teams within our Intrapreneur operations. In this role, you are responsible for our trainee program where you lead the training of future forest machine operators while contributing to high safety, quality and efficiency in raw material supply in the forest.
As a leader of four work teams, consisting of about fifteen forest machine operators at the beginning of their careers and three experienced mentors who support them operationally, you have full personnel responsibility and a key role in creating a safe, efficient and developing work environment. You work close to the operations and spend a large part of your time in the field, where you coach the team and ensure quality in the training.
Here is a selection of work tasks:
Plan and implement the trainee program together with the mentors
Recruit trainees in collaboration with a recruitment specialist
Lead operational issues and team meetings with focus on safety, work environment, quality and delivery
Follow up and evaluate the trainee program
Responsible for salary management and goal tracking
Handle ongoing personnel matters and develop employees
We offer an exciting and varied job in an environment characterized by cohesion, team spirit and an open climate. You work independently together with your machine teams and you report to the Head of Intrapreneur operations. The placement location for the position is flexible within our operational area and the role involves regular travel to teams located in Tierp, Grangärde, Filipstad and Vansbro.
Who are we looking for
We believe that you, with the ability to engage and motivate others, are a good fit for this role. You are solution-oriented and enjoy an operational day-to-day where your forestry knowledge makes a difference. Your expertise is based on forestry higher education or equivalent, plus a couple of years of professional experience, preferably in leadership positions.
Skills and qualifications that we believe you have:
Ability to set goals and achieve results
Experience in leading training programs
Excellent communication skills that inspire and convince others
A structured work approach with focus on follow-up and feedback
Good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
B-category driving license
