SOS Children's Villages is now seeking a Chief for Operations Support who wants to take strategic overall responsibility for finance, people, and structure in an organization that makes a real difference. The role has a clear CFO mandate with responsibility for financial management, analysis, and strategic decision support. Here you get to step into a key role close to operations, where you both lead and develop – and where your contribution has impact far beyond the numbers. About the AssignmentAs Chief for Operations Support, you have overall responsibility for the organization's financial management and for further developing the operations support functions within finance, HR, and IT. You lead a team of 6–7 employees and sit in the management group with direct reporting to the Secretary General. This is a role for someone who wants to both shape direction and drive day-to-day operations. You move naturally between analysis and decision-making, structure and development, details and the bigger picture. A central part of the assignment involves further developing financial management in line with digitalization and new working methods. Here there is both a need and room to strengthen monitoring, analysis, and decision-making support. Beyond financial responsibility, you also have overall responsibility for HR and IT-related matters as well as for developing effective and operationally close support functions. You are an important partner in the management group, where you contribute with perspective, clarity, and a solid financial framework in strategic matters. Your ResponsibilityOverall responsibility for the organization's finances and financial management Finance function – accounting, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reporting Analysis and decision support to management and board Policy work and monitoring of procurement and contracting HR processes together with a senior HR Business Partner – including management support, labor law, and negotiations Overall responsibility for IT matters Developing structures, working methods, and the team you lead Ensuring compliance and good accounting practices and representing the organization externally Who We Think You AreYou are a confident leader with integrity and drive. You are used to taking responsibility in complex environments and have the ability to create direction without losing people along the way. Your leadership is characterized by clarity, participation, and psychological safety. You build teams that both deliver and develop. At the same time, you have strong personal responsibility. You see what needs to be done, prioritize, and drive forward. We also believe you have: Solid experience in a senior finance leadership role, for example as CFO or finance director Experience from management group work and strategic operations development Comfortable working both strategically and operationally Experience with HR matters at an overall level including labor law matters Confident in change management and motivated by developing working methods Good systems knowledge and interest in digital development Very good knowledge of Swedish and English It is a merit if you have experience from an international context and if you have worked within non-profit activities and/or have an understanding of financial processes within activities other than pure business-driven operations.
