We are now seeking a business-oriented and commercially driven CFO who wants to take a key role in the company's continued development. The role offers broad strategic and operational responsibility with significant influence over the company's financial management, profitability, and long-term growth. Our client is one of the leading players in their industry with annual revenue of approximately 600 million SEK.
About the RoleAs CFO, you will have overall responsibility for the company's finance and financial function in the Nordic region. You are responsible for financial management, controlling, reporting, treasury, accounting, and legal matters, as well as leading the continued development of the function's processes, working methods, and organization. As a close partner to the owner and management, you will have the opportunity to contribute financial expertise, business insights, and a clear value creation perspective in an organization where decision-making is quick and execution is strong. The position is based at the office in Gothenburg and you report to the CEO and owner.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Be a strategic advisor and business partner to the CEO and owner.
Contribute to the company's business development, growth strategies, and profitability improvements.
Drive budget, forecast, and business planning processes.
Responsible for operational monitoring, KPIs, and financial analysis.
Develop decision-making materials for investments, expansion, and strategic initiatives.
Responsible for relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors.
Responsible for the accounting function and the company's financial reporting.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, tax matters, and legal reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles, regulations, and internal guidelines.
Who Are You?We are looking for someone with a strong financial foundation combined with a genuine business interest. You thrive in a business-close role where you can translate numbers into insights and where your work has direct impact on the business. You hold a degree in business administration or equivalent education and have several years of experience in qualified finance roles, such as CFO, Finance Manager, Controller, or within audit. Perhaps you already have overall responsibility for finances, or you are ready to take the step into your first CFO role. We also see that you have a strong interest in digitalization and technology's potential to develop the business. You understand how BI tools and digital workflows can contribute to increased efficiency, control, and business value.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
Experience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Strong commercial understanding and documented experience of contributing to business development and profitability
Good knowledge of accounting, taxes, and financial statement work
Experience developing processes and driving change or digitalization initiatives
Very good system skills and advanced Excel knowledge
Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written
