The Children's and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. We are now looking for a central school library coordinator who wants to lead and develop school library activities within Huddinge Municipality's schools. The role is a key function in the work of creating equivalent, modern, and pedagogically integrated school libraries where activities, reading promotion work, media and information literacy (MIK), and digital library systems work together in practice. In this role, you contribute to the municipality's work of developing school libraries that meet the new requirements in the Education Act and strengthen students' reading, language development, and information competence. The role combines strategic development work with close collaboration with schools, library staff, IT, and administration. You are responsible for shared structures, system support, and equivalent working methods in libraries within educational activities throughout the municipality, and you become an important part of the municipality's continued development of school libraries and the implementation of library systems Quria and WeLib. Duties As a central school library coordinator, you are responsible for the overall coordination and development of school library activities within Huddinge Municipality's primary schools. You work both strategically and operatively and ensure that school libraries have common working methods, clear procedures, and equivalent support in daily work. You also contribute to strengthening school libraries' role as a pedagogical resource in schools' work with reading, language development, and information competence. An important part of the assignment is to coordinate the use of the library system Quria and the shared catalog and ensure quality in metadata and structure. The work contributes to creating accessible, usable, and equivalent school library resources for students and staff throughout the municipality. The role also involves capturing the needs of the operation and coordinating development issues between schools, administration, and suppliers. You will, among other things: lead and coordinate school library activities at the municipal level support the development of school libraries' pedagogical mission in collaboration with school management and operations contribute to the development of reading promotion work and media and information literacy (MIK) follow and implement national policy documents and developments in the school library field ensure equivalent working methods and use of Quria in all schools develop and manage common procedures, guidelines, and support materials be responsible for the municipal catalog and quality assurance of metadata support school libraries with questions about cataloging, structure, and working methods coordinate training, information, and communication to schools identify development needs and coordinate operational requirements act as a contact between operations, IT, administration, and system supplier contribute to the development of support and management structures for library systems follow up on usage, needs, and quality issues in the operation act as contact person for system managers at public libraries in Huddinge Municipality and for developing collaborations Who are you? You have a good understanding of how libraries' activities, pedagogical mission, and digital systems need to work together to create good support for schools and students. To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, communicative, and confident in driving issues with many different stakeholders.
