"Here you'll have the opportunity to combine specialist expertise with training, consulting, and entrepreneurship – while helping build Ditwin's presence in Karlskoga."
Ditwin is a specialist company that helps industrial companies develop their approaches to CAD, PLM, and digital product and production development. As a partner to Siemens Digital Industries Software, the company works with some of the market's leading CAD and PLM solutions.
At the same time, Ditwin is far from a traditional consulting firm. Here you'll find an entrepreneurial culture with short decision-making paths, significant personal responsibility, and a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and developing together.
Now Ditwin is taking the next step in Karlskoga by establishing a local presence in the region.
There are already customers, business opportunities, and clear demand for the company's expertise. What's missing is the person who wants to help build Ditwin's local operations. As a CAD/PLM Specialist, you won't just be an important advisor to our customers – you'll also be a key person in the company's continued establishment in the region.
– "We're looking for someone who enjoys combining technology with people. Your technical background and expertise in CAD and PLM are a prerequisite for the role, but what determines whether you succeed over time is your ability to share knowledge, build trust, and help customers develop both their working methods and their operations," says Johanna Bygdeson, Consulting Manager at Ditwin.
Your Future Challenge
As a CAD/PLM Specialist, you'll help customers develop their approaches to CAD, PLM, and product development related to Siemens software, including Solid Edge, NX, and Teamcenter. The role combines specialist technical expertise with training, consulting, and methodology development where you work closely with users, designers, and decision-makers. In some assignments, you'll conduct training and workshops; in others, you'll serve as an advisor on processes, system support, and future working methods. You'll contribute specialist knowledge in CAD and PLM and help customers get maximum value from both their systems and working approaches.
At the same time, you have a unique opportunity to be part of something from the beginning. You'll be one of the first people in Ditwin's expansion in Karlskoga and will have great influence on how the local business develops. Established customer relationships and a strong market are already in place – now it's about building further.
Examples of Work Tasks:
Train, support, and guide users in CAD and PLM solutions, particularly Solid Edge but also other Siemens environments.
Develop and improve working methods, methodologies, and processes for customers.
Contribute to projects in digital product development, for example Model Based Definition and digital twins.
Build long-term customer relationships and identify development opportunities.
Be an important part of Ditwin's continued establishment and development in Karlskoga.
An Opportunity to Grow
At Ditwin, you'll have considerable freedom to influence your day-to-day work and develop your expertise. There's a strong culture of knowledge sharing where colleagues support each other and experiences are shared across different assignments and specialist areas. You'll therefore become part of a company that values long-term relationships, both with customers and colleagues. Here there's room to grow, take responsibility, and develop as the business grows.
Apply for the CAD/PLM Specialist position and become part of Ditwin's continued journey in Karlskoga!
Are You the Person We're Looking For?
To succeed in this role, technical skill alone isn't enough. CAD and PLM expertise is a crucial foundation, but what determines your long-term success is your ability to build trust, create relationships, and help others develop. You're therefore equally comfortable in conversations with customers and users as you are in the technical environment, and you're motivated by sharing your knowledge and contributing to others' success.
We believe you have a technical background in product development, engineering, or a related field and thrive at the intersection of technology and people. Perhaps you currently work as a CAD/PLM Specialist, senior engineer, CAD key user, methodology engineer, or systems manager and have discovered that you enjoy sharing your knowledge just as much as working in the systems yourself.
As a person, you're curious, pedagogical, and relationship-building. You're good at creating trust and enjoy supporting others in their development. At the same time, you're self-driven and comfortable in a role where you take responsibility, identify needs, drive issues forward, and contribute new ideas. You're drawn to the opportunity to help build something long-term and see value in combining specialist expertise with consulting, training, and customer contact.
To succeed in this role, you have:
Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, preferably focused on product development, design, engineering, or equivalent.
Experience with CAD work in Solid Edge
Experience with PLM-supported development processes
Good understanding of product development and engineering processes.
Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Valid driver's license.
Experience with Siemens systems, such as Teamcenter, NX, or other related solutions, is highly desirable. Experience with CAD methodology, MBD, digital twins, and work in manufacturing industry is also advantageous.
