Construction Coordinator

Your responsibilities As a Construction Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating and following up on the implementation of larger or more complex infrastructure projects. You ensure that overarching issues such as traffic solutions, transport logistics, establishment areas, and schedules are handled in a coordinated manner so that disruptions are minimized and projects can be executed efficiently. The role operates across programs and projects and functions as a cohesive force between affected parties, where you balance different projects' needs for a functioning whole. You are responsible for coordinating schedules together with project managers and identifying dependencies between projects, as well as early identification and management of risks related to accessibility, work environment, and impact on the surrounding area. You work both in early phases and in the implementation phase to coordinate different stakeholders' needs. Through your work, you contribute to better coordination, increased delivery reliability, and more efficient implementation of Halmstad's urban development projects. A central part of the assignment is ensuring traffic flow during construction. This means you coordinate and follow up on traffic solutions taking into account the public, business, public transport, and emergency services, and work to minimize disruptions for residents and businesses in the area. You function as a cohesive link between program and project managers, project leaders, contractors, developers, internal functions, and relevant authorities. This includes driving dialogue, clarifying responsibility distribution, and representing a holistic perspective on issues where multiple parties affect each other. You also contribute to developing common working methods and structures for construction coordination, and follow up on how the coordination functions in practice to be able to initiate improvements where needed. Your qualifications Requirements: University degree in civil engineering, building technology with a focus on roads and water or equivalent, or alternatively relevant vocational education. At least 3 years of professional experience within the field. Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Driver's license category B. Meritorious: Experience coordinating large projects and/or complex projects. Experience with management coordination. Experience working within the contracting industry. You have the ability to listen to different perspectives and find ways forward that work for multiple parties at the same time. In your working style, you are solution-oriented and find it easy to drive issues forward even when circumstances change. You also have a natural way of switching between strategic issues and what happens in daily implementation. You are confident in dialogue with different actors and build trust through clear and attentive collaboration.
