Uddevalla Municipality is seeking an engaged building permit processor who wants to help shape the future built environment. With us, you will have an important role in creating a sustainable and well-planned living environment while providing professional service to residents and businesses. Job Responsibilities As a building permit processor, you are responsible for handling building permit applications, pre-decisions, and other matters according to the Planning and Building Act (PBL). The work involves: Reviewing and assessing cases based on legislation, detailed and comprehensive plans, and municipal guidelines. Making decisions or preparing decision documents in a legally secure and efficient manner. Providing advice and guidance to private individuals, companies, and entrepreneurs. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth process. Contributing to the development of procedures, digital methods, and the municipality's work with planning and building issues. Conducting site visits and inspections when needed. You work independently with your own cases while being part of an engaged team where knowledge sharing and collaboration are a natural part of daily work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with: Post-secondary education in urban planning, law, building technology, building permit processing, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience working as a building permit processor. Good knowledge of PBL, PBF, BBR, and detailed and comprehensive planning. Good digital skills and interest in developing digital working methods. Class B driver's license. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have good analytical skills, work solution-oriented, and can prioritize your work effectively.
