Through its work, the division contributes to translating the municipality's long-term visions for land use and urban development into practice. This is done through the preparation of detailed plans, development of the municipality's land holdings, and implementation of construction projects in public areas. The Public Place Projects Unit drives investment and implementation projects and is responsible for construction management. The work is conducted according to the common project model for the community development process. The unit is responsible for investments in several operational areas and ensures that exploitation projects are carried through from detailed design and procurement to production and final warranty inspection. We are now looking for an experienced and driven construction manager who wants to help develop the Norrköping of the future. With us, you become part of an engaged and competent team consisting of project managers, construction managers, controllers, strategists, and administrators. The workplace is located in newly renovated premises at Trädgårdsgatan 21 in central Norrköping, with good transportation connections and convenient walking distance to the travel center. Your tasks In the role of construction manager, you have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Norrköping and create sustainable environments for the future. The municipality carries out a series of investment and exploitation projects on public land including streets, railway facilities, parks, bridges, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and various urban and recreational environments. Together with project managers and other construction managers, you are responsible for ensuring that projects are carried out efficiently and with high quality from construction start to completed facility. You have a central role in daily production and work closely with the project manager on monitoring and directing project implementation. You participate throughout until the completed facility is handed over to the operations organization. The assignment includes ensuring that contracts comply with set requirements for quality, environment, and work environment. You also work with financial follow-up, coordination of contractors and utility owners, and handling of issues that arise during project execution. As a representative of the municipality, you have many contact points and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. This involves regular contact with, for example, contractors, developers, consultants, utility owners, business owners, residents, and colleagues across the municipality's various operations. Who are you? You have completed at least two years of technical upper secondary studies and a two-year vocational higher education. Furthermore, you have several years of experience in a leading position in the construction and/or construction industry. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of contract law (general terms) such as AB 04 and ABT 06 as well as AMA Construction 23. We are looking for someone who is driven and responsible with the ability to lead and coordinate work during the project execution phase. You are quality-conscious, structured, and have a solution-oriented approach. Since the role involves many contact points, you are communicative, responsive, and good at creating trusting relationships. You enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders while being clear in your requirements and expectations. You have great commitment to your work, maintain focus even during challenges, and contribute to projects reaching their goals in an efficient and professional manner. The role requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and a Class B driver's license. You also have good knowledge of the MS Office package. Welcome with your application!
