Do you want to be part of developing the railway of the future? As a construction manager for overhead contact lines at Trafikverket, you'll have a key role in our railway projects from early planning through completed installation. Here you combine technical specialist expertise with close collaboration in the project team, contributing to safe, sustainable, and efficient solutions for Sweden's railway infrastructure. Work Tasks As a construction manager for contact lines at Trafikverket, you assist your project group and colleagues with technical expertise, production planning, and a good understanding of how different technical systems interact in a project. You drive your technical discipline forward through all phases of the project from planning to execution, and independently handle both design and execution matters, presenting solution proposals to the project group and communicating decisions back to suppliers. Issues concern the entire contact line system from power supply (AT/BT), auxiliary power, reinforcement lines to return transformers and return conductors. During the production phase, you are present on site and can quickly support the contractor in unclear situations. In this position you work primarily in southern Sweden and travel within the region is common. You monitor quality of deliverables within your technical area, including design, technical solution proposals from the designer, estimates, completed construction documentation, and finished installations. You ensure that the installation is designed according to current requirements and regulations, taking into account function, work environment, environment, and economics. You also follow up on the supplier's progress and align with time and cost schedules. You have knowledge of safety processes and participate in system commissioning, inspections, and similar activities. In your role you will be part of a unit with project managers and project engineers to maintain close connection with project management. As a construction manager, you will primarily be assigned to a project team that collectively drives multiple railway projects forward from planning to completed installation and traffic opening. Your expertise will be utilized for multiple projects in the region to influence our decisions in early stages and help us make good decisions throughout the project. As a person, you are a problem solver and analytical thinker, with the ability to handle challenges and find practical solutions even in complex situations. The role involves many contact points, which means you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to build trusting relationships with contractors, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You are also communicative and clear in your way of collaborating and following up on matters, while adapting your communication to the recipient and situation. Since the work can periodically involve high pace, we see that you are stress-resistant, maintain composure, and can prioritize correctly even when multiple matters need to be handled simultaneously. We Are Looking For Someone Who has several years of current practical field experience in railway projects in the role of construction manager, project manager/supervisor, or equivalent role in railway projects has basic education as a contact line technician or equivalent expertise and knowledge of the Electrical Safety Authority's regulations has current knowledge of AB/ABT, AMA, and technical descriptions in railway projects has experience with contact line construction on lines and rail yards has a driver's license for a passenger car has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing It Is Advantageous If You can manage planning and handling of Trafikverket-specific materials; specifications and advance orders have authorization as TSM and SoS-manager/planner have experience with Trafikverket's management systems (BIS, Bessy, Ofelia, ProjectWise, etc.) Additional Information Please attach a CV to your application.
