Buyer for Production Equipment (CAPEX) – Consulting Position in Gothenburg
We are seeking a senior Buyer with experience in CAPEX and production equipment for a consulting assignment with our client in Gothenburg. You will have a central role in larger procurement projects with global suppliers and close collaboration with operations and international procurement teams. About the Assignment As part of the client's indirect procurement organization, you will be primarily responsible for production equipment and investments. This role is perfect for you if you thrive with commercial negotiations, parallel projects, and clear accountability for results. Key responsibilities include: Negotiate commercial and legal agreements. Drive sourcing projects, supplier evaluations, and benchmarking. Lead commercial negotiations based on project procurement milestones. Identify and implement cost savings in commercial, technical, and supply chain-related areas. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and international procurement colleagues. Ensure accurate and current information in relevant systems. Build long-term business relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. What We Are Looking For Experience in strategic procurement, preferably within CAPEX or production equipment. Strong business acumen and documented negotiation skills. Analytical abilities and experience managing multiple projects in parallel. Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, engineering, or equivalent. Fluent English, both spoken and written. High integrity, professionalism, and a clear focus on results. Merits: Good experience with Microsoft tools and experience with international supplier collaborations. Practical Information Assignment Type: Consulting position. Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Location: Gothenburg, on-site at our client (0% remote). Start: September 1, 2026, or by agreement.
