Construction Engineer

Jelgava Municipality Property Management announces a competition for the position of CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER at the Infrastructure Management Department (permanent position) Main duties of the position: Plan, coordinate and supervise the construction, reconstruction, renovation and repair of municipal buildings, structures and engineering communications; Assess the technical condition of municipal buildings and structures, prepare proposals for their maintenance, renovation or energy efficiency improvement; Participate in the preparation of construction plans, technical specifications, design assignments, provisional estimates and development of other related tasks; Control compliance of construction work with technical documentation, regulatory acts, contract terms and quality requirements; Cooperate with designers, contractors, construction supervisors, authors' supervisors and other involved parties; Participate in object inspections, commissioning and preparation of defect reports; Monitor the circulation of construction documentation and timely preparation; Prepare opinions, reports and information materials on the progress and technical condition of construction projects; Participate in the preparation and implementation of investment projects, including EU funds and other financial instrument projects in the field of construction and energy efficiency Prepare technical information for procurement documents, including technical specifications and requirements for applicants; Control contract performance within the scope of competence; Ensure preparation, circulation and storage of documents corresponding to the position's competence; Provide suggestions for municipal budget planning for energy efficiency and construction measures; Review requests received by BIS from third parties (individuals and legal entities) and, within the scope of competence, prepare and issue municipal technical regulations for construction Requirements for applicants: Higher education in engineering sciences specialty; Experience in the position of construction engineer (at least 2 years), additionally desirable work experience in construction, construction supervision or design; Knowledge of regulatory acts necessary for performance of duties; High responsibility, accuracy, good communication skills; Good skills in working with MS Office and AutoCAD (or equivalent) programs; Category B driver's license.
