The Jūrmala State City Administration invites applications for a position at the City Planning Department Building Inspection Office: BUILDING INSPECTOR ASSISTANT (indefinite term) We are looking for a goal-oriented, responsible, and growth-focused colleague who wishes to apply or further develop their knowledge and professional skills in the field of construction. This position will be suitable both for a professional with prior experience and for a motivated junior specialist who wants to master the construction supervision process, enhance knowledge of regulatory requirements, and work daily with a building inspector in controlling the construction process. MAIN JOB DUTIES: - Provide support to the building inspector in the control of construction works and operation of buildings; - Verify compliance with the conditions for commencing construction works and documents related to the construction process; - Prepare opinions, reports, decisions, and draft responses on construction matters; - Review submissions and complaints and provide consultations on the construction process; - Maintain information in construction databases. REQUIREMENTS: - Desired higher education in the field of construction; may be a final-year student; - Experience in state or municipal institutions will be considered an advantage; - Category B driver's license; - Understanding of regulatory acts governing the construction process; - Ability to effectively plan and organize your work, precision and sense of responsibility; - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work in a team; - Practical experience in preparing business documents; - Ability to use and adopt new digital solutions, including construction and other information systems.
