We sell quality meats and charcuterie from carefully selected producers — from Swedish farm-raised meat to international specialties — and our counter is a craft we take pride in. We're now strengthening our team with one full-time employee with supervisory responsibilities and two part-time staff on a flexible basis.
Job Responsibilities
As a retail sales associate with us, you work with sales and customer service at the counter, proper handling, storage, and display of food according to our procedures, as well as daily cleaning and ongoing maintenance of the shop, work areas, and equipment. You collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to a fair distribution of tasks. The work demands high standards of hygiene, attention to detail, and organization — we handle perishable products where the cold chain and cleanliness are non-negotiable.
For the full-time position, there is expanded responsibility: you are responsible for the shop's daily operations during your shifts — even when the owner is not present. This includes responsibility for the shop's condition and hygiene, active work to prevent and report waste and deviations, compliance with procedures for the cash register, locks, and alarms, staff coordination and task distribution, and ensuring daily instructions from the employer are carried out correctly. The role comes with a special responsibility allowance.
What We're Looking For
You have:
– A service mindset and genuine joy in customer interaction — you see each customer and take your time
– Knowledge of or strong interest in meat, charcuterie, and cooking, and the desire to learn our assortment in depth
– Sales skills: you can read customers, make recommendations, upsell, and build a loyal clientele
– Strong work ethic and self-discipline — you maintain routines even when no one is watching, are punctual and reliable
– Willingness to do any part of the job, from counter work to cleaning
– For the full-time position: leadership qualities — you take responsibility, make daily decisions, lead by example, and get the team working toward the same goals
Experience from manual dishwashing, market halls, restaurants, or food retail is a plus but not required — the right attitude matters most. Swedish language skills are required; additional languages are a plus in a market hall environment.
Employment Terms
– 1 Position: Full-time, permanent, with expanded responsibility (shop supervisor)
– 2 Positions: Part-time on a flexible basis — shifts arranged according to business needs, perfect if you're studying or want flexible extra work
– Working hours: Daytime, weekdays and Saturdays (during market hall hours)
– Salary: By agreement, vacation pay according to law
– Start date: By agreement
