Description:

Do you love food and are ready for a career where people come first? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers toward a better everyday life. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh products and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you're showcasing freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, ensuring shelves are always well-stocked, or creating campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone here has one reason: to create an amazing customer experience. About the Job Position: Permanent employment at 26 hours per week, probationary period applies. Start date: August 10, 2026 or by agreement. Work hours: Early mornings, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the work. We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Work Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the meat department. You Put the Finishing Touch on Customer Experience You have the opportunity to make a big impression on our customers' visits, so you have an important mission to make the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This could mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude, so the customer finds their way around the store. You should make sure the customer leaves happy – and ideally with an extra item in their basket and a good feeling! What Will You Do? Each day brings new encounters and challenges, but some of your main tasks are: Ensure customers leave the store with a smile (and maybe an extra item or new inspiration). Work with cutting fresh Swedish meat, cut in-store. Work with packaging, product restocking, and creating a pleasant store environment with order and cleanliness. Contribute to offering our customers a fresh and inviting meat and deli department. Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store – we're a team and help where needed! Who Are You? You're a natural problem-solver who loves pace and energy. A friendly hello and an extra helping hand are a given for you. Do you have a burning interest in really good meat? Great! If you've worked with meat and butchering – even better! We believe that you: Have a high school education and speak Swedish fluently, both spoken and written. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it's wonderful if you do too. If you have previous experience/training in fresh product handling and butchering, this is a plus. Love meeting customers and think service should be genuine and engaged. Like doing things together and contribute energy and joy. Are curious, solution-oriented, and see when something needs to be done – and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to get it done! What Do You Get? Secure terms – We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen. Affordable meal benefits – You get staff discounts on everything from fancy weekend dinners to quick weekday solutions. Parental leave with extra security – We offer enhanced parental benefits according to collective agreement so you can enjoy your new family member a little extra. A healthier and more energized body and mind – We care about your health and offer wellness allowances so you can stay active in the way that works best for you. Real career opportunities – With us, you have a chance to grow! Many of our store managers started right where you are now. Does this sound like something for you? Send in your application – we look forward to meeting you! If you want to know more about what the position entails, contact Zara Andersson, 0165402403/[email protected]. We hope you'll send your application as soon as possible if interested, as the position may be filled before the final application deadline on August 16, 2026. We only accept applications through our job pages. To determine if you're the right person for us, our recruitment process includes both tests and interviews. We verify ID and conduct background checks in all recruitments. Read more: How the application process works when you apply for a job at Axfood.
