We are all different. And that's wonderful! We don't hire people based on a template but on who you are. For us, drive and personality matter more than experience and background. We're doing well and growing rapidly. Now we're looking for more happy team members with the right attitude and willingness to develop!
About the job
We're looking for you if you like food, people, and sales and want to be part of our great team at Willys Värnamo Gröndal! In short, this role means you help our customers shop for good, sustainable food at really great prices.
Position details: Permanent employment, full-time. Probationary period applies.
Start date: By agreement.
Working hours: You'll work varying shifts including early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements: Upper secondary education, good Swedish language skills (speaking and writing). We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2 chapter 8 and appendix 2, we do not employ people under 18 years of age due to the nature of the work tasks.
Here's more about the role:
Together with your colleagues, you manage the varied and physically demanding daily operations of the produce department.
You're responsible for sales planning, placing orders, and ensuring the department is attractive and seasonally current, thereby helping the store meet its sales and profitability goals.
You meet our customers with knowledge, care, and a big smile, whether they need help finding a product or paying for it.
About us
For us, the right attitude and willingness to develop matter more than experience and education. We work together as a team because we believe great collaboration produces the best results—while having fun at work.
More about us:
We're covered by the Retail Employees' collective agreement, which includes great benefits like pensions, insurance, and good overtime compensation.
You'll receive wellness allowance, employee discount, and special employee offers after a period of employment.
One of our core values is ensuring everyone can afford quality food. We open stores in socially disadvantaged areas and help others open social grocery stores.
Sustainability is important to us, and we work continuously to reduce food waste.
We give you great opportunities to grow through various responsibilities and training. Many who started their journey as retail associates at Willys are now team leaders, store managers, or hold specialist roles at our support office.

About you
Willys is constantly growing and developing, and you love doing the same. You enjoy learning new things, like being challenged, and are motivated by taking on greater responsibility. It's also great if you:
Have experience working in the produce department in a grocery store or equivalent valuable knowledge and are ready to take the next step in your development.
Notice when something needs to be done, roll up your sleeves, and get it done.
It's an advantage if you've worked in retail or service, but it's not required.
You speak, write, and understand Swedish. Many of our customers speak more than one language, so if you do too, that's fantastic!
