We are now welcoming a social worker to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP). BUP is organizationally part of the Children and Young Adults area and is a resource for all of Region Jämtland Härjedalen, with offices at Köpmangatan 24 in Östersund. The unit consists of approximately 120 employees who, based on a team-based interdisciplinary approach, work to identify, prevent, alleviate, and treat mental health issues in children and adolescents aged 0-17 years. As an employee at BUP, you are offered internal supervision and individual planning for professional development. BUP shares premises with Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation, Adult Rehabilitation, and Parental and Child Health Services.
BUP has a total of 12 teams, and as a social worker you will be placed in a general psychiatry base team. The team includes multiple professionals such as physicians, nurses, psychologists, care workers, social workers, and psychotherapists.

WORK TASKS
As a social worker, you will be part of one of our 5 general psychiatry base teams providing specialist-level care. Your main responsibilities will be assessment, investigation, and treatment of children/adolescents and their networks with complex child psychiatric issues. You will customize and tailor treatment interventions based on the patient's needs and collaborate with neighboring care providers such as schools, social services, and school health services. The work includes varied tasks where we would like to see that you are interested in leading groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree from a social work program
- Psychotherapeutic basic training (level 1) is meriting
- Experience in trauma treatment, work in child and adolescent psychiatry, or other activities focused on children/family is meriting
- Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, commitment, independent work, collaboration skills, and flexibility, and we welcome diversity in the work team.
