Description:

Are you a social worker with experience in budget and debt advice and/or housing advice and want to be part of developing the operation in line with the new Social Services Act? Then this could be the role for you. About Us The Social Services Department's mission in Solna Municipality is to provide support to children, young people, and adults based on their individual needs, while upholding legal security and equal treatment. Through collaboration, preventive work, and a strong focus on quality, we contribute to creating good living conditions for Solna residents. Together, we work for a socially sustainable Solna where each individual is given the opportunity to develop and live a secure life. Budget and Debt Advice/Housing Advice is part of the Social Services Department and is organized under the Economics and Labor Market Division, which also includes economic assistance, domestic violence, and the labor market group. We are now seeking two employees—one permanent position and one parental leave position—who want to be part of our ongoing development work in budget and debt advice/housing advice. Our Offer We offer you a workplace with a positive atmosphere and strong team cohesion. We care about each other and maintain a welcoming and open work environment. As an employee, you will receive: Accessible and supportive management. Regular external supervision. Pleasant facilities in Solna Business Park, with good access to public transportation. Good opportunities for relevant external and internal training. Flexible working hours and the possibility of trading vacation time. Wellness benefits. What Does the Work Involve? You will be employed as a social worker, and your work tasks will be distributed approximately 50% on each assignment, though this may vary throughout the year. You will provide advice to strengthen residents' ability to manage their personal finances and prevent over-indebtedness, as well as provide advice and outreach to residents at risk of eviction and homelessness. The position also includes contributing to business development. Budget and Debt Advice: Create an overview of household financial situations. Establish sustainable budgets. Support in negotiations with creditors. Support in the debt restructuring application process. Housing Advice: Provide advice on rental law matters. Support tenants in contact with landlords, debt collection agencies, the Enforcement Authority, and other relevant authorities/organizations. Identify, reach out to, and support households at risk of losing their housing. Participate in collaboration meetings and networks focused on eviction prevention work. Who Are We Looking For? You should have a degree in social work or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent. Basic training in MI and the Consumer Agency's training for budget and debt advisors is meritorious. You need to have good knowledge of the social security system, rental law, and insolvency law. It is meritorious if you have experience from a corresponding position or economic assistance. If you hold a category B driving license, that's a plus. You are proactive, flexible, and able to adapt easily to changing circumstances. You work independently but also enjoy collaborating with other actors. You are service-oriented, attentive, and inspiring confidence, with the ability to meet people in vulnerable life situations in a respectful and non-judgmental manner. You are development-oriented and see opportunities where others see obstacles. With a creative and energetic approach, you contribute to finding solutions and bringing out individuals' own resources. You are driven by turning ideas into practical action and being part of developing the operation forward. More Information About the Application We offer one permanent full-time position and one full-time temporary position for one year. Start date in fall 2026 by agreement.
