We are seeking two budget and debt advisors for a fixed-term position from 2026-12-01 to 2027-09-30 (or by agreement) to join our existing team. As a budget and debt advisor, you help individuals organize their finances and find ways out of debt situations. You map out the financial situation together with the client, create a plan, and provide advice and guidance based on the individual's needs. You manage your cases independently and follow the client through the process, which is often long-term. With a coaching approach, you build trust and motivate change. The goal is to create order in everyday finances, find solutions to debts, and when needed, provide support in the debt settlement process. Your main responsibilities: - Create household budgets and develop financial plans - Provide support in establishing payment plans - Negotiate with creditors to find payment solutions - Provide support with applications for debt settlement with Kronofogden (Swedish Enforcement Authority) What We Offer You You will have a developmental and socially important role as part of an engaged team. You will work from our office at Hans Stahles väg 5 in Tumba, with the possibility of working remotely when your tasks allow. About You We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science, economics, or law, or another relevant higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Extensive experience working as a budget and debt advisor can replace the education requirement. You must also have excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We consider it a merit if you have: - Experience working as a budget and debt advisor - Experience meeting and supporting people in vulnerable life situations, preferably within financial assistance, maintenance support, or social services - Knowledge of motivational conversations - Multilingual skills - Good digital skills and experience with documentation We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and finds it easy to build trust. You are attentive and clear in your communication and can adapt your support to the individual's situation and needs. You work independently and in an organized manner, taking responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and moving your cases forward. The role involves managing multiple cases simultaneously, which requires you to make sound judgments and decisions based on relevant information.
