Then you might be the person we're looking for at the Victim Support Agency's Knowledge Center. The Victim Support Agency works to promote crime victims' rights and highlight their needs and interests. The Agency is in an expansive phase with several new government assignments, investigations, and development projects that will contribute to better support for crime victims. At the same time, the Agency's core operations are growing and changing, which will require communication efforts. The Agency is located in centrally situated offices in Umeå. We are now seeking an experienced communicator who wants to help make the Agency's work visible. With us, you will work closely with expert colleagues and contribute to making complex knowledge accessible, relevant, and useful for different target audiences. About the Role As a communicator at the Knowledge Center, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on both internal and external communication. You function as a strategic and operational support in communication matters and actively contribute to developing the Agency's communication work. The work includes, among other things: - producing content for websites, newsletters, press releases, and social media - developing the Agency's relationships with media and supporting press work - contributing to the management and development of the Agency's websites and digital channels - planning and implementing communication initiatives within government assignments, projects, and investigations - creating communication materials and supporting educational and knowledge-sharing initiatives - participating in development projects where communication is a central part of implementation The position involves many contacts with government agencies, municipalities, civil society organizations, and other actors in the crime victim field. Travel is part of the job. We are Looking for You Who - hold an academic degree in media and communication science or other education that the employer considers equivalent - have experience with qualified communication work - are a good writer and express yourself fluently in Swedish and English - have experience planning, leading, and following up on communication initiatives - have a good understanding of mass media processes and experience with media contacts - work independently, in a structured manner, and with good judgment - are development-oriented, enterprising, and see opportunities in change - have good collaboration skills and a friendly and professional demeanor - have experience working with web publishing tools Since you will have a central role in the Agency's communication and represent the Agency in various external contexts, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Desirable Experience - communication work within a government agency or civil society organization - tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, Umbraco, and Content Studio Edit - video conferencing systems and web broadcasting The recruitment concerns a permanent position with a trial period, full-time.
