Every year, Bris has over 60,000 supportive conversations with children. This gives us unique knowledge about children's reality. One thing is clear. Children are still suffering. Children need more adults who see and hear them. More decisions need to prioritize children's safety. And more children need to know that they can turn to Bris for support.
About the Role
As press manager, you work strategically and operationally to shape opinion, disseminate knowledge, and increase awareness of Bris. You work creatively to maximize media impact and earned visibility through other channels.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, drives work forward with energy, and sees opportunities where others see obstacles.
Your Assignment
You are responsible for ensuring Bris gains traction on the right issues, at the right time, and in the right channels. This means you:
Drive and develop Bris' press work for maximum impact.
Manage media contacts and media outreach—both proactively and reactively.
Manage external partnerships for earned visibility (e.g., partnerships with high-profile individuals, media collaborations, or joint communication initiatives with corporate partners).
Identify news opportunities, spot possibilities, and act quickly to strengthen Bris' relevance in public debate.
Produce high-quality content at a fast pace, including press releases, opinion pieces, commentaries, and other press materials.
Identify and develop Bris spokespersons through strategic advisory and support for media appearances and other external engagements.
Formulate key messages, Q&As, speeches, and presentations.
Contribute to Bris' broader communication strategy development.
Monitor the external environment and identify communication opportunities and risks.
Participate in press on-call rotation.
We Are Looking for Someone Who
Wants to work toward ambitious goals and take responsibility for continuously developing and refining strategies and methods to reach those goals.
Has several years of experience in qualified work as a press secretary, PR consultant, communications manager, or equivalent.
Is a highly skilled writer with the ability to quickly produce accurate and target-audience-adapted messages.
Is proactive, self-directed, and enjoys driving work forward rather than waiting for direction.
Has a strong understanding of how media works, media logic, and public debate.
Is comfortable working both strategically and operationally and enjoys producing content at a fast pace.
Has the ability to package complex issues in a pedagogical and impactful way.
Is confident in coaching and supporting spokespersons.
Has good collaboration skills and can navigate an organization with diverse perspectives.
We place great importance on personal qualities. To succeed in this role, you need to be initiative-taking, unpretentious, and comfortable working at a fast pace. You take responsibility for making things happen, drive your work forward, and don't hesitate to pick up the phone to get our issues into the right context.
It is a merit if you have knowledge of children's rights issues and experience working in a politically driven environment.
What We Offer You
With us, you work in an organization with a strong mission and engaged colleagues. We invest in your health and development through 4,000 SEK in wellness contributions, wellness hours, and continuous professional development in our core areas through lectures and knowledge sharing. You also get to enjoy shared breakfast every week and flexibility through optional holidays.
