Your Assignment
As an intensive care nurse at the burn center, you are responsible for caring for patients requiring intensive care and intermediate care. Our patients have significant care needs with a major focus on pain management, nutrition, and wound care. You are responsible for leading and distributing work within the patient's team. Personal development as well as operational development are self-evident to you, and you work actively with this in your professional practice. Together with your colleagues, you create a good work environment and contribute with a positive attitude in the work group. If we get along well together, there is the opportunity to take Uppsala University's advanced course in intensive care or why not realize your own project with us!
Our Operations
Welcome to Sweden's hottest workplace, the burn center in Uppsala! Just below the helicopter pad, we operate one of the country's two units providing nationally specialized care for burn injuries. Here we work in multidisciplinary teams, of course always with the patient in focus. We care for burn patients from the acute phase, requiring advanced intensive care, through intermediate care and finally rehabilitation before the patient is discharged. This provides continuity in care and close contact with the patient and their families. The department has an operating room where our patients are operated on. Our operations are enhanced by an outpatient clinic where we receive minor injuries and care for patients discharged from the ward.

Your Qualifications
We are looking for you – a registered nurse with specialist education in intensive care. Wound care is more exciting than many people think, so if you're not interested in this from the start, you're guaranteed to become interested! If you have a flexible and curious approach and good collaboration skills, we're a perfect match.
