Räddningstjänsten Sydost is a municipal federation as of January 1, 2023, responsible for emergency and rescue services for approximately 180,000 residents in Borgholm, Emmaboda, Högsby, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, Nybro, Oskarshamn, and Torsås municipalities. We have 560 employees, of which 370 are on-call firefighters. Our operations are based at 22 on-call stations and four full-time stations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will work with fire prevention and training at OKG AB, where you will also be based. The preventive work involves participating in OKG's systematic fire safety work (SBA). You perform fire safety measures and assess safety conditions, which sometimes includes workplace environmental measurements of gas and gas-freeness declarations of a specific area. You handle various deviations through your own measures, fault reporting, and documentation in different systems. You participate in operational meetings and collaborate with other professional groups to create as safe a facility as possible. Training in fire safety for OKG's personnel and other safety-enhancing training is also an important part of the work. You are also involved in planning emergency exercises for the rescue service's operational personnel and OKG's operational staff. As you are based at OKG AB, you become an important link between OKG and Räddningstjänsten Sydost. Working hours are daytime, but shift work may occur during periods of increased workload due to annual inspections of the operating blocks. As a person, you are comfortable collaborating with others and are confident speaking to groups in connection with employee training. QUALIFICATIONS Experience with preventive systematic fire safety work (SBA) in industry or rescue service. Experience with operational rescue service such as full-time or part-time firefighter. We consider it a merit if you -Have training in Protection Against Accidents (SMO) or equivalent full-time firefighter training. -Have Supervision A certification. -Are a part-time firefighter. -Have knowledge of OKG's operations and local area knowledge. -Have training in systematic fire safety work. -Have pedagogical training.
