As a Fire Protection Engineer with us, you'll work with fire safety in both the planning and construction process and in the management of completed buildings – from early stages to inspections of existing operations and buildings. Job Description The position is located in our Prevention Department and your main tasks will consist of working with matters related to the planning and construction process, conducting inspections according to the Act on Protection Against Accidents (LSO), and working with information and guidance within the subject area. There are also good opportunities to develop in the future and work in additional areas. We're looking for you who are educated as a Fire Protection Engineer and have experience working with building technical fire protection, either from the public or private sector. About JRF Jämtland Rescue Service Association is responsible for rescue services and prevention activities according to the Act on Protection Against Accidents in all eight municipalities in Jämtland County. We have 35 fire stations and 9 rescue shelters; the vast majority of our approximately 600 employees are firefighters in standby service. Full-time staff are mainly located at the fire station in Östersund, which will also be your main workplace. Requirements In addition to the personal qualities mentioned above, the following requirements apply to this position: Fire Protection Engineer degree. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Driver's license with B category. Meritorious Experience working with planning and construction processes within rescue services. Experience designing building technical fire protection. Terms of Employment The position is a permanent full-time employment. The main employment location will be Östersund, but we are open to some degree of remote work from home or from one of the association's other fire stations. For this position, individual salary setting is applied where we consider the person's competence, education level, personal qualities and experience. Salary and start date are agreed upon. Your immediate supervisor is the Head of Prevention.
