The Technical Unit manages Haparanda Housing's property portfolio and Haparanda Municipality's buildings, streets, parks, water/sewage/waste, and Haparanda Heat Plant. Would you like a job where you get to be both a practical problem solver and an important contact for our tenants? We are now seeking a building custodian for Haparanda City! Your Tasks As a building custodian, you are an important part of our work to create safe, well-maintained, and pleasant environments for our tenants. You have a varied job where no two days are the same. You work closely with our properties and tenants and are often the first to notice when something needs attention. You participate in planning daily work, solve problems, and collaborate with colleagues and contractors to ensure our properties function optimally. Your tasks may include: - inspecting apartments and handling administration related to this - contacting various authorities regarding different matters - performing minor repairs and maintenance in buildings and apartments - handling and following up on fault reports - handling and administering disturbance cases - overseeing buildings and common areas as well as outdoor environments - performing basic maintenance of buildings and outdoor areas - contacting tenants and providing good service - ordering and coordinating work with contractors - contributing to order, safety, and pleasant conditions in our buildings - documenting and following up on completed work - collaborating with other employees within property management Your Profile We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, practical, and solution-focused. You enjoy working independently but also appreciate being part of a team. You need to be able to meet people with different needs and circumstances in a professional and respectful manner. As a building custodian, you are an important representative for Haparanda City, and therefore good customer service is a natural part of the work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Qualifications - secondary education - experience with practical work in, for example, property, construction, maintenance, building services, or similar - good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing - driver's license (category B) - good computer skills - it is meritorious if you speak Finnish and English Employment The employment is a permanent position; a probationary period may be applied. Before employment, a criminal record certificate will be requested and checked in accordance with applicable legislation.
