As a manager, you have an important role in Bostadsbolaget's long-term work for safe, attractive and well-maintained residential areas. We have a strong focus on our vulnerable areas with the goal that there should be no particularly vulnerable areas according to the police's list in Gothenburg by 2030. The safety guards are a central part of this work. Through visibility, presence and active relationship-building, they contribute to safe, well-maintained and attractive residential areas. We work with straight backs and warm hearts. This means that we stand up for safety, order and common rules of the game, while we meet people with respect, care and a genuine commitment to our tenants and the areas where we operate. Job Duties As a unit manager, you have personnel, operations and budget responsibility for a group of safety guards in Biskopsgården. This is an operational management role for someone who wants to be close to the daily operations. You lead and supervise the safety guards in their daily work, support them in complex situations and ensure that the work functions well. You are also responsible for developing both the team and the operations, as well as creating conditions for professional, coordinated and efficient safety work that meets the area's needs. A large part of the work takes place in the residential areas where you are a visible and present leader. The safety guards' working hours are scheduled for evenings and weekends, every day of the year. During these times, they are Bostadsbolaget's main representatives. They meet our tenants and are also responsible for ensuring that our courtyards, utility rooms or other common areas are intact, clean and neat. You are part of the safety operations management group together with the safety chief and other unit managers. Your working hours are scheduled for 2 PM - 10 PM, seven days a week according to a rotating schedule where you and the other two unit managers staff the operations when the safety guards are on duty. Your main responsibilities are to: Lead, supervise and schedule the safety guards' work. Work operatively together with the safety guards in the areas. Coach, motivate and develop employees and work groups. Develop work methods and strengthen the team's ability to meet the area's needs. Plan, coordinate and follow up on work within your area of responsibility. Collaborate with colleagues, authorities and other stakeholders on safety matters. Monitor developments in the areas and translate needs and observations into concrete measures. Who are you? You have a genuine commitment to society and are driven by making a difference for people and residential areas. You believe in the importance of relationships and have the ability to build trust with both employees, tenants and collaboration partners. You have several years of experience leading employees and operations with good results. As a leader, you are confident, mature and present. You build strong teams by being clear, attentive and accessible. You create engagement, set requirements when needed and help people grow and take responsibility. The role involves many contact points and requires good collaboration skills. You communicate clearly, find it easy to build relationships and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same. You have relevant post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge through several years of work experience. Experience from social work, property management, service operations or other activities where relationship-building, collaboration and leadership are central elements is advantageous. We would like to see that you speak several languages. Good Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement.
