About Our Group Housing The operation is licensed to provide accommodation with special services in the form of group housing according to section 9, paragraph 9 LSS and is directed toward service user group 1. The operation consists of six fully-equipped apartments with high standards. The group housing is located in a calm and harmonious residential area in central Eksjö. In close proximity to both the city center, public transportation, grocery stores, and employment opportunities, while still being surrounded by nature. What Does the Job Involve? As a residential support worker, you work to support, motivate, and develop individuals' ability to perform various activities in their daily lives. Your task is to create structure, predictability, and routines in the individual's everyday life through individually tailored support. Our goal is to use adapted methods, working approaches, and attitudes to create conditions for improved quality of life and good living conditions for individuals who have the opportunity to create a home in our operation. We want each individual to feel involved and have influence in their life situation and experience an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment. As a residential support worker, you offer support and services in all areas of life where needs exist, and your work tasks may include: • Daily activities such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping • Leisure activities, employment, and outings • Personal care and hygiene • Social interaction and communication • Social documentation and development of implementation plans • Collaboration with family members, representatives, authorities, and healthcare services • Support and motivate individuals based on their needs and abilities toward increased independence in their daily lives Who Are We Looking For? We are now seeking several residential support workers for our team! Work hours are arranged according to our residents' needs and include both weekdays and weekends, and may vary between day, evening, and overnight shifts. We are looking for you with a big heart for our target group and a strong desire to make a difference for each individual. You enjoy working with people, have a good ability to adapt your approach based on the needs you encounter, and collaborate well with those around you. As a person, you are attentive, flexible, solution-focused, and have a service-oriented mindset. You should be confident in managing situations that can be stressful and challenging. You see opportunities in changes, take your own initiative, and take your responsibility as a team member to achieve development and desired results. Qualifications: • Appropriate education within healthcare and social services. We would like to see that you are, for example, a special educator, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or have another equivalent qualification. • Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. • We require strong skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. • Driver's license category B It is highly meritorious if you have: • Previous experience working with this target group within LSS services or in similar operations. • Experience and training in various relevant methods and approaches such as low-arousal approaches, AAC, visual supports, and motivational interviewing. • Experience with comorbidities, complex needs, and challenging behaviors.
