As a residential counselor at Björnövägen group home, you will provide support to young adults with disabilities in their daily lives. The work is based on the individual's needs, self-determination, and integrity in accordance with LSS.
You will support the residents in creating structure in their daily routines, developing independence, and participating in meaningful activities. The work may include support with social contacts, leisure activities, daily routines, and connections with healthcare and other community services.
We use clarifying pedagogy and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) to create understanding and participation. We also work based on low-arousal approaches where safety, respect, and predictability are central.
Documentation, planning, and follow-up of interventions are important parts of the work and are carried out in close collaboration with colleagues.
We place great emphasis on professional conduct where empathy, structure, and humor are a natural part of the work with the individual.
The work also includes practical tasks such as cooking and contributing to a pleasant and well-functioning living environment.
Work is conducted according to a rotating four-week schedule covering days, evenings, and weekends. Awake nights.

We are looking for you with post-secondary education and experience working within LSS. You are unpretentious, believe in collaboration, and can work both independently and in a team. Qualifications
You have post-secondary education as a social pedagogue with 400 YH points, or equivalent education, and previous experience working within LSS. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and experience with social documentation. Experience and knowledge of various approaches and working methods such as low-arousal approaches, AAC, clarifying pedagogy, and MI are preferred. You should have experience and knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and hold a B driver's license, preferably for manual vehicles. We would like you to have good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
