The assignment at Diamanten is to provide leisure activities for children with various types of needs during daytime. This can include outdoor activities, crafts, games or similar. During short-term stays, it includes supporting daily tasks and organizing appropriate activities. Short-term stays are often overnight, which means you work days, evenings, nights and weekends. Work can also take place within other activities in the LSS area. By contributing your knowledge and experience, you also participate in developing our activities. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with education from a children and leisure program, a care and health program with a focus on disability services, or education in pedagogy/psychosocial fields. Experience with similar work or work with children with disabilities is a requirement. You need to be able to work independently by taking your own initiative, taking responsibility for your tasks and planning and organizing your work. Because the users' needs vary, you need to be able to quickly adapt in your work. To thrive in this role, you also need to have good pedagogical skills and great patience. You need to be able to understand others' perspectives and work with low-arousal approaches. It is also important that you have good collaboration skills. As a residential counselor, you need to be comfortable using the computer as a work tool. REQUIREMENTS Category B driver's license Experience with similar work or work with children with disabilities. For this position, you are required to provide a valid extract from the Police's background and suspicion register before employment begins.
