The main purpose of working within LSS (Act on Support and Services to Persons with Disabilities) is to strengthen the individual's ability to live an independent life and to actively participate in society. You work in a group housing facility and do most of the work in the residents' homes. We work to build relationships and create conditions for an improved living situation and reduced exclusion. We work preventively, using low-arousal approaches and based on the individual's needs and capabilities. 4 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a residential assistant, you make a difference in people's lives. Your role is to support our residents in achieving increased independence both at home and in social settings. You motivate and support them in their daily lives, ensure their basic care needs are met, and help with household chores and practical tasks. The work also includes working based on implementation plans, collaborating with colleagues at your own facility and other facilities within the unit, as well as maintaining contact with family members, appointed guardians and administrators. We are now recruiting for several positions and the scope may vary. The positions involve work according to a rotating schedule with day, evening and weekend shifts. We work with the Career Journey disability program for both managers and employees, and offer competency-building training. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has completed and passed upper secondary education in care and health services or social work, for example: - Care and Health Services Program (nursing assistant), - Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social work - Support Assistant training, or other training that the employer deems equivalent and consistent with the National Board of Health and Welfare's general guidelines for personnel within LSS activities. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, corresponding to the requirements for legally sound documentation in municipal operations. You must have documented knowledge of LSS, user influence and self-determination. You must also have good knowledge of digital documentation and IT-based operational systems. To succeed in the role, it is also advantageous if you have experience working in municipal LSS operations, particularly in group housing, and working based on implementation plans, follow-up and documentation in accordance with applicable legislation (LSS/SoL). It is advantageous if you have a B driver's license and it is also advantageous if you have experience with some or any of the following: • LAB (low-arousal approaches) • AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) • IBIC or clarifying pedagogy As a person, you are calm, attentive and responsive in your manner. You have the interest, willingness and ability to help others and strive to find solutions. Furthermore, you are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and your approach. Last but not least, you are good at structuring, planning and prioritizing your work. To thrive with us, you should have a genuine interest in working with people, be responsive to others' needs, and have good service awareness and collaboration skills.
