BmSS Children and Youth, Hourly Substitute

At Östergården children and youth residential home, we are looking for hourly substitutes who want to work closely with children with disabilities. Here you will be part of the whole day, from care and mealtimes to play and activities. Our goal is for each child to feel valued, be involved, and be able to take small steps forward at their own pace. To succeed with this, we work together, with engaged colleagues and specialized expertise close at hand. Your Role As an hourly substitute at Östergården, you work as needed during day, evening, and weekend shifts on one of our two departments, NPF or multiple disabilities. The work is close and personal where you typically focus on one child during your shift. Around you are colleagues, group leaders, support educators, nurses, and habilitation teams who provide support and guidance. At Klippan and Eken you meet children with intellectual disabilities and NPF. Here, structure, clear routines, and adapted communication are important, along with personal care and daily support. At Solsidan and Lunden you meet children with multiple disabilities. Here care is more extensive and several children have medical technology needs. This department is particularly well-suited if you want to learn more about medical interventions, for example if you are studying to become a nurse. At Östergården Östergården is home to 10 children and young people who receive support and services according to LSS. Here they have their own rooms and common areas where we eat, socialize, and do things together. Around the children are many adults who know them well and help each other. This allows us to take care of what needs to function, while also making room for laughter and nice moments. You find adaptations when needed, ask when you are unsure, and actively collaborate with colleagues. You are comfortable with close care and meet children with warmth, but always with professional distance. Qualifications Completed education in care and health, relevant higher education in for example social work or psychology, or at least one year of experience from LSS operations Experience with basic care, including personal hygiene, meals, and transfers Experience with medication management or other delegated health and medical care tasks Familiarity with digital documentation and email Good knowledge of Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension We Welcome Your Application! The extract should concern Work with children and young people within LSS and must not be older than six months. If you have an extract issued before March 1, 2026, you will need to order a new one covering both registers. You order the extract yourself through the police's e-service.
