About the Role At our facility in Örnsköldsvik, which is part of Functional Chemicals AB, Performance Formulations, we produce additives for paint and building materials. Our main product is Bermocoll, which functions as a thickening agent in water-based paint or as a water-binding agent in mortar. As a Blockchef MA, you are responsible for material administration at our Örnsköldsvik facility. The role is part of production management on-site, and you will be part of the on-call group in production. You lead through others and develop the organization's ability to deliver safe, stable, and efficient processes. Together with your team, you drive development within safety, quality, delivery capability, productivity, and sustainability. We are looking for someone who enjoys working close to operations, has a genuine interest in chemical processes, and wants to help develop both culture and working methods. You see the connections between people, processes, and results, and you know that long-term good results are created through a strong focus on safety, high competence, and engaged leadership. In your future role as Blockchef, you will Lead, coach, and follow up with operators in your production area Ensure safe, stable, and efficient production according to applicable procedures and targets Take responsibility for day-to-day operational management Drive competence development and training plans for operators Handle management administration such as employee conversations, staffing, time reporting, vacation planning, procurement, and recruitment Collaborate with functions within logistics, planning, quality, process, and maintenance We believe you have Relevant post-secondary technical education, or equivalent experience Leadership experience in manufacturing industry Interest in and understanding of process or chemical industry Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Ability to work systematically with safety as the highest priority It's good if you have Experience from process industry or equivalent industry Experience working in shift-based operations Experience with improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods We believe you are A confident, clear, and values-driven leader who builds trust through your actions. You lead by example and create a culture where safety, accountability, and respect for people are natural parts of everyday work. You are present in operations and enjoy working close to the processes. You can switch between strategic questions and operational challenges, and you make decisions based on facts, analysis, and experience. You are motivated by developing people, building strong teams, and creating conditions for long-term improvements. You dare to set requirements, follow up on results, and help people grow through clarity, feedback, and engagement.
